The Fund's objective is to provide a total return, through a combination of current income and capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of high-yield fixed income instruments that are rated below investment grade or considered by the Subadviser to be of comparable quality. Under normal market conditions, at least 80% of the Fund’s investable assets are invested in a portfolio of global high-yield fixed income instruments with varying maturities and other investments (including derivatives) with similar economic characteristics. Under normal market conditions, the Fund may invest up to 20% of its investable assets in United States currency-denominated and/or foreign currency-denominated fixed income instruments issued by foreign issuers. PGIM Investments LLC is the investment manager of the Fund.
