Under normal market conditions, its investment program consists primarily of owning a diversified portfolio of common stocks, a segment of which (the United States Segment) holds stocks of United States issuers and a segment of which (the International Segment) holds stocks of non-United States issuers, and selling on a continuous basis call options on broad-based domestic stock indices on at least 80% of the value of the United States Segment and call options on broad-based foreign country and/or regional stock indices on at least 80% of the value of the International Segment. The Fund may invest up to 15% of its total assets in securities in emerging markets issuers. Its investment adviser is Eaton Vance Management.
