Sociedad Agricola La Rosa Sofruco SA engages in the production and marketing of fresh food, wine and agro business products. In addition, the company, through its subsidiary Vina La Rosa SA, produces and distributes wine. The firm operates over 12,000 hectares of fruit plantations, vineyards and processing facilities, which are located in the Cachapoal Province, region of O’Higgings. As of December 2011, the Company owned such other subsidiaries as Sofruco Alimentos Ltda, Comercial South Fruit Ltda and Vina La Rosa USA Inc, and Compania de Inversiones Mobiliaria e Inmobiliaria Mar del Plata SA was its majority shareholder with 50.35% of its interest.
