The firm is engaged in electricity generation, building storage systems and energy trading. Its activities are divided into following five segments: Offshore Wind, where the business relating to offshore wind is presented; Onshore Wind/ Solar, in which it pools its onshore wind and solar business as well as parts of its battery storage activities; Flexible Generation (previously: Hydro / Biomass / Gas): which encompasses run-of-river, pumped storage, biomass and gas power stations. The company also comprises of hard coal and biomass-fired Dutch Amer 9 and Eemshaven power plants as well as stand-alone battery storage systems. Supply & Trading where trading of electricity, pipeline gas, LNG and other energy-related commodities is at core; and Phaseout Technologies (previously: Coal / Nuclear) segment consists of lignite mining and refining operations as well as electricity generation.
