In addition, the Company is involved in the production and distribution of construction materials, as well s dealing in all types of construction supplies and equipment. During 2011, the Company produced around 1,776 million tons of clinker and around 1,920 million tons of cement. As of December 31, 2011, the Company held 20% stake in South Upper Egypt for Plastic Bags Manufacturing and 45% stake in Asec Ready Mix Concrete Company. The Company’s major shareholders included Misr Insurance, Kuwaiti Egyptian Investment Com and Misr Capital Investments. The firm markets its products in local and international markets.
